Coordinator Resources

Being a WAV coordinator involves both teaching volunteers about stream health and organizing groups of volunteers to collect high quality data. Whether you’re a new coordinator looking to get started, or an established coordinator looking for updated materials, the resources on this page are here to support you.

Welcome Packet for New Baseline Volunteers

WAV Coordinators can request Welcome Packets for newly trained baseline stream volunteers by contacting WAV staff, or you can print the materials below to assemble your own folders:

A blue folder is open on a table. In side the folder is a "New Volunteer Checklist", and a variety of paper resources tucked into the left pocket.

Baseline Monitoring Equipment

Extension has limited funding to supply established stream monitoring groups, so we recommend organizations seek funding to purchase additional supplies for volunteer teams. A new baseline monitoring kit will cost around $415.

Here’s our guide to purchasing equipment in the baseline stream monitoring kit (pictured).
