WAV is passionate about getting people involved with stream monitoring, whether it is through volunteering or lifelong learning.

Check out one of the four ways you can get involved with WAV!

  • Become a Volunteer: Enjoy nature and make a difference by collecting valuable scientific data! Do you like being outside? Do you have a passion for protecting our shared natural resources? With a commitment of only a few hours per month, you can become a volunteer stream monitor with Water Action Volunteers (WAV).
  • Become a Coordinator: Are you a member or leader of a local group with a shared dedication to local waterways? Partner with WAV to see how your group can support stream monitoring and the WAV program through coordinating training and monitoring initiatives across the state.
  • In the Classroom: Are you an educator looking for material to support water quality education programs? Visit our “In the Classroom” page for FREE educational resources and curriculum.
  • Online Learning: Are you a lifelong learner interested in stream health? Check-out our online learning page for free educational videos, including our annual Winter Water Talks.
