ONLINE: WAV Baseline Monitoring Refresher Training

Need to brush up on your baseline stream monitoring skills? Join us for our annual 1 hour online refresher training to ensure you continue collecting high quality data. This training is intended for returning WAV volunteers, but all are welcome. We will cover water temperature, transparency, dissolved oxygen (with a Hach Kit), streamflow, biotic index, and the four aquatic invasive species to watch for during monthly monitoring.

At this Zoom refresher training, WAV staff will:

• share Wisconsin stream monitoring news and WAV program updates,
• walk through the baseline stream monitoring methods using photos and video clips,
• share common monitoring errors from 2024 to watch out for, and
• answer your burning questions!
