Aquatic Invasive Species Training: Glendale, WI

This aquatic invasive species training is hosted by Wisconsin Sea Grant.

Time: 9:00 am – 10:30 am

Are you interested in protecting our rivers from aquatic invasive species? Join Project RED (Riverine Early Detectors) on June 25. Volunteers like you are invaluable for early detection of aquatic invasive species.

Attend a free aquatic invasive species detector training with Wisconsin Sea Grant and learn how to:

• Identify aquatic invasive species important to southeastern Wisconsin
• Monitor for aquatic invasive species
• Collect and report findings

What to bring: water bottle, sun glasses, sun screen 

How to dress: clothes for being outside in the sun (hat, long sleeves, shorts or pants), sandals/waterproof boots/waders if planning on wadding in the river (optional)

What to expect: 30 minutes of discussing AIS impacts and how to identify + 1 hour of wading in water (optional) or shoreline monitoring for AIS
