August 14th, 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM

This aquatic invasive species training is hosted by Beaver Creek Reserve.

Time: 9:30 am – 2:00 pm

Come learn how to protect your favorite river or stream by boat or on foot! Volunteers spend the day paddling and wading the river while keeping their eyes peeled for aquatic invasive species! Join Project RED (Riverine Early Detectors) on August 14th as we work to survey the Chippewa River! Volunteers like you are invaluable for early detection.

The protocols are easy and fun! Use this activity to become more familiar with your river or stream and to engage your friends and neighbors!

The second half of this training will include a paddle on the Chippewa River to practice your new skills. Come equipped with a canoe or kayak, or register to rent one with Beaver Creek. Email Bre Klockzien, at breanne@beavercreekreserve.org to set up a kayak rental.
